Working exclusively with older adults, Laurel Hickok handles household financial tasks like paying bills and managing paperwork to help clients reduce stress, maintain good credit, and continue to live independently.

Laurel Hickok, CPA (inactive)

Originally from Texas, Laurel has lived in Spain, California and Arizona. After earning her accounting degree at the University of Texas at Austin, she became certified as a CPA, worked for a decade as an accountant in the energy industry, raised two children, and became a Daily Money Manager to employ her gifts of organization, patience, and efficiency. She moved back to the central coast in 2024 and is exceedingly happy to once again call San Luis Obispo home.

Laurel is a member of AADMM, the American Association of Daily Money Managers, and abides by their Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice.  She has volunteered as a SHIP Medicare Benefits Counselor since 2017. She has also served as Treasurer for many non-profit organizations and taught iPhone classes for older adults.  

She enjoys cooking and traveling with her husband, exploring new trails with her labrador retriever, and discussing books with her neighborhood book club.
